One time when I was in NYC for work I came across a very lovely little place. Tucked away off of 24th street-between fifth and sixth ave-attached to the Wyndham Garden Hotel(Chelsea West) there is an amazing little Italian restaurant called San Rocco.
San Rocco is a stylish little gem where the people are friendly as well as helpful, great atmosphere, fantastic service and even better food.
I just so happened to be staying at this particular hotel and one day decided to try San Rocco out. The bartender suggested that I start with a little drink that they have which is basically a small shooter glass of champagne with a half of passion fruit, yum.
While I was sipping on this little yummy drink fruit combo, they brought out little appetizers such as special little homemade breads, little meatballs, the best red cabbage I have ever had-and I hate red cabbage-or other little munchies and ALL were amazing…Oh and did I mention the little appetizers they brought out were free, yes FREE in NYC! I know?!
Then for dinner I decided to try their Risotto Con Sogliola lemon-infused risotto with sole fish, it was absolutely sublime. Full of flavor, balanced, melt in your mouth, sublime.
I soon finished it up with a very traditional Italian after dinner drink, Limoncello. If you haven’t had it before, I suggest you try it…strong, sweet, lemon and just all around a perfect finisher for any meal.
If you ever happen to be in NYC area I definitely suggest that you try this place!
You can check out another fantastic review on San Rocco here, they get the awesomeness that is San Rocco…
